Asset Coordinator

Reports to: Assistant Depot Manager

Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours)

Location: South West Headquarters - Bristol

What is the job?

The Asset Support Administrator will support the Assistant Depot manager. This role is responsible for coordinating the efficient allocation, movement and tracking of generators and associated equipment throughout the Power Electrics depot network. The successful candidate will work across multiple functions, liaising with Depot Managers, Depot Foreman, Workshop Managers and Service departments to ensure equipment is available, compliant and ready for hire providing a high-quality service
delivery to customers.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Allocation and Tracking

Action equipment needs received via the Asset request system
Accurate update and completion of requests via the Asset request system
Coordinate the movement of assets between head office, depot locations and sites
as required

Compliance and Documentation

Update of the hire management system (Insphire) for asset allocations, returns,
transfers
Maintaining accurate records of serial numbers, test certificates and service
histories
Ensuring all Assets being transferred are compliant with current inspection and
testing requirements, ensuring equipment is fit for purpose

Operational Support

Work closely with company stakeholders such as Depot Managers, Assistant
Depot Managers, Transport Departments and Service Teams to ensure equipment
is delivered in line with the company’s On Time, In Full (OTIF) philosophy
Assist in the planning of asset movements to support key projects and customers
as required
Liaise with Workshop teams to schedule any maintenance, repairs or service
requirements

Reporting and Communication

Production of regular KPI reports on Asset availability and utilisation across the
depot network
Escalation of potential pinch points (shortages) throughout the depot network to
the Asset Manager
Act as a main point of contact between Depots, Sales teams and other key
stakeholders regarding asset status as require

Skills and Experience

Supervisory or team leader experience
Good organisational and communication experience
Proven track record of working in a busy hire depot environment
Strong focus on Health and Safety awareness
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other hire software packages such as InspHire,
MCS or Syrinx (desirable)
Experience in plant, hire coordination, logistics would be preferred
