Job Title: Hybrid Support Co-ordinator/Engineer

Reports To: Service Manager/Rental Project Solutions Manager

Hours: Full-Time 

Location: Bristol / Eastleigh / Milton Keynes / Cannock, depending on home location (but job holder needs to be mobile, to cover national area of operations)

Job Purpose

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to assist and support the Rental department in managing the logistics, operational tasks and build up of our new hybrid fleet. You will communicate between staff at depot and customers on site regarding suitability, set up, and help with training of engineers and installing hybrid energy systems as required when service needs extra support.

Key Tasks & Main Duties

1. Establish working relationships with the sales team and rental desks to ensure correct use and specification of equipment.
2. Assist Service desk with 2nd line customer support, resolving queries and checking that their needs have been met.
3. Attend customer “project kick off” meetings at customer premises with sales team as required; assist sales team with specification of equipment.
4. Identify and manage resources needed for maintenance and upkeep of hybrid fleet
5. Take a “hands on” approach, helping engineers place and install systems on a variety of customer sites and to develop engineers’ skill base with equipment.
6. Liaise with Depot staff to ensure good working practices with maintenance and storage of assets.
7. Liaise with Rental Manager and hire administration team, to allocate specific hire plant to satisfy customer requirements.
8. Monitor Installations and update service and sales team on improvements or issues with systems.
9. Report any lost or damaged hire equipment including correct documentation and evidence of damaged items on site.
10. Comply with all aspects of the company’s ISO 9001:2015 quality management, ISO 14001: 2015 environmental management and ISO 45001:2018 health & safety standards, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.
11. Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy, including company vehicles.

Skills & Experience Required

1. Good understanding of Generator/Plant Hire market ESSENTIAL
2. Proven BSS / Energy storage / Hybrid system background ESSENTIAL
3. Good organizational and communications skills ESSENTIAL
4. Be willing to work remotely and work flexible hours ESSENTIAL
5. A full Driving Licence ESSENTIAL
6. Strong customer focus with the ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers and sales teams
7. Understanding of electrical installations and system loading
8. IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar

It is a requirement of the role that overnight stays may occasionally be required
