Reports to: Sales Manager – Rental Major Accounts

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Midlands Depot

Job Purpose

Directly reporting to the Sales Manager – Major Accounts, you will represent our business, our values and our culture, whilst positioned within Power electrics offices supporting one of our major customers. Working closely with our customer, your key tasks will include; responding to enquiries; advising on power solutions; the preparation and follow up of quotations; managing hire administration processes on both our in-house hire system and our customer’s systems, managing the full extent of generator hires and logistics through our network of depots. You will also be developing business through telesales. As this is a varied role, occasionally you may be required to work overtime.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone calls, take enquiries and problem solve all of customers’ needs
  • Produce hire quotes for new and existing clients regarding rental pricing data
  • Communicate and liaise with our depot network for plant allocation and scheduling of logistics etc.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company procedures when receiving a customer(s) purchase order
  • Proactively chase outstanding quotes and report findings to the appropriate Manager
  • Produce rental related paperwork (e.g. Job Sheets, Delivery and Off Hire Notes) Comply with all aspects of the company ISO 9001:2015 (Quality) and ISO 14001
  • (Environmental) procedures, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.
  • Comply with company health and safety policy
  • Comply with ISO H&S, Quality and Environmental Management procedures

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Good organisational and communication skills required
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Previous telephone sales or customer service experience required
  • Good IT skills, primarily Excel and Word
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Ability to learn in-house systems
  • Able to work independently of a wider team, manage time and prioritise workload
  • Skilled in customer service techniques
  • Skilled in sales and business building
  • Flexible and accommodating to the needs of business opportunities
  • Good commercial skills
