Job Purpose:

Good customer service skills are needed, as you will be liaising with both internal and external contacts throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance as required to buildings and outside areas. Working closely with other maintenance team members
• Carry out general maintenance as required to buildings and outside areas throughout the depot network, with some nights away
• Maintain workshop and yard areas
• Responsible for organising storage of new hire fleet and sales equipment to ensure that the workshop areas are well organised and kept tidy
• Responsible for moving and loading of equipment / liaising with yard staff to ensure equipment is dispatched by internal or external transport
• Carry out site visits to assess or carry out positioning or removal of equipment.
• Maintain workshop and yard areas.
• Carry out various additional tasks for all departments
• Comply with the company health and safety policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy. This includes company vehicles.
• Comply with all aspects of the company quality and environmental management standards (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2015) and occupational health and safety management best practice, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.

Skills and Experience 

• General maintenance skills

• Holder of current CSCS/CPCS/ECS card preferred

• Forklift Licence preferred - Training can be given

• MEWP Licences preferred - Training can be given         

  The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with a proven ability to work under their own initiative as well as part of a team. They must be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
