Job Title: Project Sales Manager

Reports To: Aftermarket Manager

Hours: Monday - Friday: 8.00am - 5.00pm (1 hour for lunch)

Location: Warmley, Bristol BS30 8TY

Job Purpose

We are one of the leading and largest generator specialists in the UK, providing bespoke temporary and permanent power solutions to customers through our hire, sales, servicing and parts divisions.

As a valuable member of the aftermarket team, you will identify opportunities for upgrades and modification of generator installations and switchgear systems. You will manage these projects from inception to delivery, liaising with internal and external agencies to deliver cost effective and innovative future proof solutions for our customers.

This is an exciting role, where you will have full control of each project so that your skill and knowledge can be shown to its full potential.

Key Tasks & Main Duties

  • Seek out and respond to project opportunities with new and existing customers in the following areas:
    • Generator Repair and Refurbishment.
    • Relocation of Generators and ancillary equipment.
    • Upgrade of Electrical Systems.
    • Upgrade of Mechanical Systems.
  • Manager project sales process from opportunity stage to completion.
  • Respond to contract opportunities and general service opportunities.
  • Prepare prequalification and tender responses along with general customer quotations.
  • Follow up on all quotations and tender submissions.
  • Submit monthly forecasts and reports.
  • Work with Aftermarket Manager to develop the strategy for growing Project Business.
  • The principal interactions for this post are with:
    • External
      • End Users, Contractors & Facility Management Companies
      • Key suppliers / sub contractors
    • Internal 
      • Service department
      • Sales team
      • Admin support
      • Rental team
  • Comply with all relevant Health and Safety Regulations, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are safe and tidy. This includes company vehicles.
  • Comply with all aspects of the company’s ISO management system standards in quality management and environmental management, as well as health and safety best practice, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Possess a relevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering i.e. HND/HNC or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a customer facing service sales environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously to achieve or exceed agreed targets.
  • Good customer handling skills are essential along with a sound commercial perspective.
  • Have a good level of IT skills.
  • Good exposure to and an understanding of ISO 9001
