Solutions Project Manager

Job Title: Solutions Project Manager  

Reports to: Solutions and Contracts Manager

Hours: Full-Time 

Location: Bristol - (Would consider other areas subject to experience) 

Job Purpose

The successful applicant will have a responsibility to effectively deliver Generator Installation Projects in line with Programme and budget constraints, from commencement to completion and to customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring the achievement of all targeted requirements, as agreed with the Solutions and Contracts Manager.

They will be knowledgeable in managing Sub Contractors, internal resources, and co-ordinating on-site works to ensure the programme is maintained.

They will ensure that the works are carried out safely, in line with Company Health & Safety requirements.

Key Tasks & Main Duties

  1. Project Manage the complete Design, Installation, testing and commissioning of Generator, Electrical, Mechanical, Acoustic and Civil Works installations at customer sites
  2. Ensure Site Health and Safety systems are adhered to in line with Company Health and Safety plan, and on occasions to requirements of Principal Contractor duties. (Guidance will be provided by the Company EHSQ department)
  3. Control orders for equipment to enable correct installation of equipment at site
  4. Attend site meetings as required, before during and after installation, and to customer demand
  5. Manage Sub Contractors, installation teams and Commissioning Engineers
  6. Provide quotes for additional works on on-going installations as appropriate
  7. Liaise with Project personnel, internal departments and customers to ensure installations are carried out correctly
  8. Provide method statements, risk assessments and Health & Safety equipment as required
  9. Ensure FAT/SAT Tests are completed in line with Company requirements and to Customer satisfaction and ensure test documentation and O+M’s are produced and issued
  10. Provide support to Sales team to ensure Tenders are correct and technically compliant
  11. Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are kept tidy; this includes company vehicles
  12. Comply with all aspects of the company ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 procedures, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme

Skills & Experience Required

  1. Previous project management experience essential
  2. Electrical or mechanical knowledge or background
  3. Control System understanding (preferred)
  4. Good organisational and communication skills
  5. Good IT skills
  6. Good commercial awareness
  7. Ability to work well under pressure
  8. Previous experience in a Principal Contractor role and good knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
  9. SMSTS/SSSTS required, along with CSCS
  10. CAD (Autocad) desirable
