Royal Ascot 2018

Royal Ascot is Britain's most famous race meeting, attracting many of the world's finest racehorses to race across five days. Ascot Racecourse can hold up to 70,000 at full capacity, and that's not to mention all the stands and catering going on at the event.

The Challenge

Power Electrics were brought in to power this prestigious event, with the expectation of continued reliable power to ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible.

The Solution

Ranging from 15kVA to 550kVA, a total of 34 generators were used to power Ascot’s hospitality stands and concessions, as well as provide backup power for the tote systems. Super Silent Hushtower lighting sets were provided for the car parks and coach stations, ensuring that all areas of the site were well-lit.

We also carried out a complete fuel management service, supplying 17,500 litres of fuel over five days. A standby engineer was stationed onsite Monday to Friday to ensure that the generators ran effectively throughout the event.
