Royal International Air Tattoo 2014
With upwards of 140,000 visitors, the Royal International Air Tattoo is not only the world’s largest military air show but also one of the UK’s premier outdoor events for the whole family.
The Challenge
The challenge for Power Electrics was to make sure the event was powered as smoothly as possible. This would mean meticulous project management and around-the-clock support.
The Solution
For the three-day event, we supplied a total of 55 generators ranging from 10kVA to 450kVA to produce over 4.5MVA of combined power. We also supplied mobile lighting towers to provide extra lighting in the car parks.
Support services for this event included project management, fuel management and 24/7 support. Our dedicated engineers were stationed on-site for the duration of the event, along with purpose-built fuel tankers to ensure that the generators did not run out of fuel at any time.
