What is the Process of Hiring Power Solutions?

We offer a tailored solution for each customer, from those who’d prefer to pick up the equipment from one of our nationwide depots to those who are looking for full management of their power requirements.
We don’t do ‘off the shelf’ solutions – we speak with each customer to understand what challenges they face and how we can help with the ideal solution.
Step 1: Enquiry
It all starts with you, the customer. When you enquire via the website or by giving us a call, it'll be received by one of our hire desk controllers based in one of our depots dotted around the country. Once more information has been gathered about your project and what you're looking for, the hire desk controller can provide you with a quote. Some more complicated projects will require a Sales Engineer to gather more information and maybe conduct a site survey.
Step 2: Site Survey
For more complicated projects, sometimes a site survey is necessary. A member of the Power Electrics team will come to your site to ensure that we fully understand the specific requirements of your project.
During this survey, our experienced team assess critical factors such as power demand, location constraints, environmental considerations and safety requirements. We take the time to understand any unique challenges you may face, whether it’s limited space, noise restrictions or access difficulties.
This initial survey forms the foundation of our service, reflecting our commitment to quality, reliability and a customer-first approach. With Power Electrics, you can be confident that your temporary power setup will be expertly planned from the start, aligned with your project’s goals and delivered seamlessly.
Step 3: Solution Consultation
Following the site survey, our team of Project Managers and Engineers engage in a tailored consultation process to understand any specific requirements the customer might have and what the ideal solution is. Whether it’s reducing fuel consumption, meeting environmental standards or managing fluctuating power demands, we’ll find the answer.
During the consultation, we work closely with you to discuss various options, including Stage V generators, Battery Energy Storage units, redundancy and synching options or Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) – providing clear insights into the benefits of each approach. Our experienced professionals bring in-depth technical knowledge and industry expertise to ensure that the solution we recommend is not only cost-effective but also sustainable and efficient.
Step 4: Equipment Delivery
Using one of the largest generator transport fleets in the UK, Power Electrics ensures a seamless delivery and setup process with its expert drivers and engineers able to get your project powered up swiftly and efficiently.
To keep your operations running smoothly, we utilise advanced remote fleet monitoring, allowing us to track generator performance in real time and detect any issues before they affect your project. For added peace of mind, our team performs regular on-site servicing on longer projects to maintain optimal equipment functionality and minimise downtime. If you’ve chosen our fuel management service, we take care of all fuel management, including timely deliveries and usage monitoring, so you never have to worry about running low.
Step 5: Environmental Data Analysis
If the customer has chosen one of our more environmentally friendly power solutions, such as Stage V generators, Battery Energy Storage (BES) units or HVO fuel, Power Electrics can provide its customers with the emissions data of their project.
Power Electrics provides comprehensive environmental data analysis to help you understand the impact of your temporary power usage. Our sustainability reports offer valuable insights, detailing fuel consumption and emissions savings data gathered throughout the project.
