Power Electrics Expands Hybrid Fleet with £2m Investment in Bespoke Dumarey BES Units
Silverstone Racing Circuit, Technology Cluster: Power Electrics, the UK’s leading temporary power provider, are excited to announce a £2 million investment in bespoke Dumarey Battery Energy Storage (BES) units, specially developed for Power Electrics with upgraded busbars for handling higher currents with better efficiency, enhancements to the firmware for smarter monitoring and modifications to the outlets to ensure the units are compatible and flexible for customer applications.
The BES units have been developed by Dumarey Green Power, and load tested at their location in the heart of the Silverstone Technology Park, a global destination for innovation and engineering. The Powerskid Ultra units are a second-life battery energy storage system with a continuous power output of up to 160kW depending on configuration. They are specifically designed for mobile and off-grid applications, such as building sites, manufacturing, infrastructure projects, filming locations and off-grid electric vehicle charging stations. They are also ideal for grid support, renewable storage and energy trading.

The 200kVA / 400kWh units are a game changer in size, weight and performance and are already heading out the door to support customers nationwide, from construction sites to major infrastructure projects. With this continued investment in their fleet of green technology, Power Electrics will be better placed to bring the benefits of BES units to even more customers across the Construction, Manufacturing, Facilities, Healthcare, and utilities sectors, including:
- Reduced C02 and N0x emissions
- Significantly reduced fuel costs if used alongside a diesel generator – instead of a generator running constantly, a BES can store energy and release it when needed. This allows the generator to run less often and only at optimal load, saving fuel
