Power Electrics Generators’ Sales and Projects Business acquired by DTGen

DTGen, a leading provider of diesel and gas generators in the UK, has acquired the Sales and Projects division of Power Electrics (“PEG”) from owners John and Andy Pullin.

Following this acquisition, Power Electrics will retain its Generator Hire, Service and Parts divisions, focusing its efforts on these areas moving forwards.

Andy Pullin, Owner Director at Power Electrics (Bristol) Ltd, said: “This is the start of an exciting new chapter for PEG. There is a great fit with DTGen which has a clear strategy for growth in the UK generator sales market. It will be able to make further investment in PEG’s people and capabilities - supporting its customers on a more national basis, whilst still retaining the specialist nature of its business.”

Paul Moore, Chairman at DTGen said: “This is an exciting development for our business, and for the wider generator industry. We’re creating a truly national generator business of scale, and this deal will accelerate our expansion throughout the UK.

“Our businesses have known each other for a long time, we operate with similar values and we’re looking forward to supporting our customers with their power requirements.”

The acquisition will add considerable capacity and expertise to DTGen and extends its national coverage across the UK, with locations in Scotland, the Midlands and now the south. There are plans to continue investing significantly in the business to further build on its national footprint.

PEG is widely recognised as one of the most experienced generator sales specialists in the UK. It sells, commissions and installs generators to a blue-chip customer base in the datacentre, industrial and utilities sectors.
