Power Electrics has Invested in the Future – Stage V Generators
Power Electrics is continuing on its journey to green with an initial investment of over £5 million in Stage V generators. The expansion will add a range of Stage V sets, from 20kVA up to 500kVA, to the existing rental generator fleet, helping to transition Power Electrics towards a greener future. This also provides Power Electrics the ability to be more flexible and adaptive to its customers’ needs.
The Stage V, Non-Road Mobile Machinery, ultra-low emissions targets set by the EU are critical to the future of generators. By regulating the levels for NOx and Particulates released into the atmosphere, we are helping to build a greener future.
“We’ve been excited to continue our journey to green, with the process of converting our rental fleet over to Stage V since we introduced our Ultragen range. Our team have done some incredible work in producing one of the first Stage V rental generators in the UK.
We’re looking to provide the most sustainable temporary power package on the market; combining these Stage V generators running on Green D+ with our fleet of hybrid battery units.”
Power Electrics' Director, Andy Pullin
Earlier in 2022, Power Electrics invested over £8 million in hybrid battery units, designed to significantly cut fuel consumption and emissions. Providing customers with the best environmentally friendly option whilst still meeting their temporary power needs and reducing their costs.
Hybrid power solutions use single, multiple and/or different energy sources to meet the power demand, for example, diesel generators, wind and solar.

Power Electrics also offers the use of Green D+, a high-performance HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel which reduces carbon emissions, nitrogen oxides and particulates from being pumped into the atmosphere.
Compared to traditional fuels like petrol, diesel, and biodiesel, HVO fuels perform better in various areas along with the reduced emissions.
For this reason, Power Electrics uses Green D+ in its entire transport fleet.
