Power Electrics South East Depot - Demonstration Day!

East Grinstead, Sussex: On Thursday 23rd October 2025, Power Electrics opened the doors to our brand new South East Depot, for an exciting day of technical demonstrations and networking!

The event was a successful day of showcasing our sustainable industrial power solutions, as visitors toured the depot via a series of themed ‘bus stops’, each highlighting a different aspect of our cleaner power solutions in action.

Open Day 4
Alex H Stage V

Stage V - The Next Generation of Temporary Power

General Manager, Alex Hill, delivered an in-depth talk on the benefits and features of Stage V generators. We showcased how our Stage V generator fleet is helping drive cleaner, more efficient power across the UK. Our Stage V units are fully compliant with both NRMM and MCPD emission standards, delivering an 80%+ reduction in NOₓ, hydrocarbons and particulate matter compared with previous models.

With over 200 Stage V units now in our nationwide fleet, we’re helping customers future-proof their projects while supporting stricter emissions legislation and sustainability targets.

Rob BES

Hybrid Power in Action

Rob Mason, Project & Solution Manager, showcased how hybrid systems automatically manage load demand — allowing the battery to handle low or fluctuating loads while the generator runs only when needed.

This setup cuts fuel consumption, lowers noise levels, and removes the need for oversized generators, translating directly into reduced emissions and lower running costs for our customers.

Innovation Station Png

Innovation Station

Head of Technical Phill, and our Hybrid Manager Ross - delivered an exciting talk on innovation! They demonstrated how limited grid or renewable inputs can be maximised to deliver reliable, efficient power. The setup showed how hybrid systems intelligently balance energy sources - reducing generator runtime, cutting fuel use, and lowering overall energy costs.

Ross BES Display

Visitors to our Innovation Station got an up-close look at one of our Battery Energy Storage (BES) units, fitted with a clear perspex window to reveal the advanced technology inside. This live display offered a rare opportunity to see how the internal components work together — including the inverter, control systems and battery modules that store and deliver power with precision.

See how innovation is applied using solar integration in our Hybrid Solar Systems case study.

Depot Tour Mark

South East Depot Manager, Mark, led visitors on a guided tour of the new facility, showcasing its state-of-the-art infrastructure - including in-house fuel systems and interceptor technology designed to meet the highest environmental standards.

It was fantastic to meet so many of you, share ideas and showcase the latest innovations in temporary power and sustainability.

We’re already planning more Demonstration Days at our depots nationwide next year - follow us on LinkedIn to stay updated and join us at a future event!
